Since our founding by Dick Saterbo in 1975, Colorado Boxed Beef has been committed to serving our faithful, longtime customers for over 40 years, while continuing to grow with innovative ideas and practices.
Today, our team is led by the second-generation co-chairmen, Bryan and John Saterbo. The brothers grew up in and have worked in all facets of their family business and now oversee a workforce of over 600 team members.

John Rattigan
With over 20 years at Colorado Boxed Beef under his belt, President and CEO, John Rattigan is most compelled by providing a platform that “helps our customers grow and our team grow personally & professionally in a supportive environment.” His favorite part of working at CBB is the interaction with the customers and exceeding their business needs.
John Saterbo
As Principal & Co-Chairman, John Saterbo has played a role in the Colorado Boxed Beef family-run business since 1975 and began working full-time in 1986. John believes the best aspects of working for CBB are its people and the uplifting atmosphere. When asked what sets CBB apart from the competition, his answer was simple: “We are passionate in all facets of providing customer care.”
Bryan Saterbo
Bryan Saterbo, Principal & Co-Chairman, started working for Colorado Boxed Beef as the very first part-time warehouse team member. Today, he’s most satisfied by having contributed to his family’s business growth from its infancy and foreseeing such a promising future. When asked what his ideal customer would be, he said: “One that is honest, progressive and invested in his/her business.”
John Sullivan
Colorado Boxed Beef's CFO, John Sullivan, believes speed to market and exemplary customer service are what sets our company apart from the "others". “We have to work harder to be faster and more accurate than our competition. On-time / as prescribed sums us up.” His favorite part of working for CBB is the teamwork and alignment in all facets of the business.
